Chithirapuram

It is only 10 km from Munnar. This mountainous area is synonymous with tea plantations, estate bungalows and open grounds. The Pallyvasal Hydel Power Project is located here. You can spot small waterfalls in between the hills and valleys.

At Chithirapuram, you can take up mountain trekking, hiking and nature walks. This hill retreat is close to the Indo-Swiss farm. You can either drive down to the Mathupetty Reservoir go by a speedboat. Being a sparsely populated area you’ll be blessed with fresh air and cool breezes – a perfect atmosphere for a refreshing walk.
