Mattuppetty

A beautiful lake and a dam adorn this quaint town. It is 12km from Munnar. The lake formed by the Mattupetty Hydroelectric dam has boating facilities. There are elephant waterholes nearby. Being about 1,700m above sea level it is a good spot for trekking and nature walks.
