As the name suggests the Valley View Rooms look out on to the Chithirapuram valley below. Four in number, they are surrounded by gardens, and the interiors are typical of a plantation home. The cottages have an area of 600 square feet each. They are neatly furnished and offer a view from their French windows. Each of the Planter’s Villas is 1,100sq.ft of wood with a private balcony, sitting and dinning, and a bathroom which opens into a courtyard.

For dining options head to The Barn – its wooden décor, pillars and fire place will add to the ambiance. There’s also a library above it. There are books on nature, plantation life and more. The Boulder Garden, set near a large boulder, is best for barbeques and campfires. The Hut serves snacks and sizzlers. It resembles a typical tribal hut.

At Windermere Estate, you can engage in plantation walks, trekking, mountain climbing and waterfall rappelling. There are many choices to spend a picnic day or two in the mountains.
